On February 8th, the girls had their annual Father/Daughter Dance at the school. This years theme was Western, and being that I'm not the Cowboy type, I borrowed a cowboy hat and buckle(circa 1970's) and dressed the part and took them. We had a pretty good time, but it didn't hit me until I was dancing a slow song with McKenna that this is the last Father/Daughter dance for us. I also got to thinking that maybe this was the last dance we might have together until her wedding day, at least a formal one. I then made it a point to dance more often with her through out the night, and when they invited just the sixth graders out with their Dad's, it was our special dance for the evening. We concluded the dancing with a Jonas Bros. song which everyone was into, and the girls were screaming along with the music. I then took McKenna to her friends house for a sleepover and Katelynn and I finished our date with some ice cream at the Dairy Queen. I REALLY don't like to dance, but this is one occasion every year that gets me out on the dance floor to show off my "moves", so to say! GO WHITE BOY GO!!
