Fun at the Fair...

On Friday, April 25, we took the kids to the Pima County Fair for the day. We got there early so we could check out the animals before the rides opened. Rynn loves to see the horses, so he was excited when we took him to see the Budweiser Clydesdale's. Braydenn liked the petting zoo, because the goats were small like him. The kids got to pet a pig and feed a horse. Then when the rides opened, we set the kids free. The girls had a blast on the rides and we all got on the big Ferris wheel for a family ride. Rynn loved the rides made for him. All in all it was a good family fun day at the fair!

2008 Basketball Champs!!!!!

I am really behind in posting this, as I was waiting for the pictures to be developed, but on Feb 26, 2008, our Men's Basketball team won the Tournament for our Stake. We came in with a 5-5 record, seeded fifth in the tourney, and we went on to beat the fourth place team, the first place team, and finally the second seeded team to win it all!! I told the team to gather for our team picture before the game started, because I wanted a picture of the 1st place team and also to show the other team we were ready to win and it worked because we won! Some of the guys said I was going to jinx it, but I just had a feeling, the same one I had when we did the same thing for softball, took the picture first, then went on to win, call it arrogant but I call it confident!! Although the picture doesn't show all who played with us this season, for the most part it is the ones who showed up the most. It was a great night of team basketball, as at the end of the first half we pulled away a bit and was up by 12 points. We came out in the second half, built up a 20 point lead and kinda coasted the rest of the way. We won by 9, but really it wasn't that close. It was probaly the best we played all season. Congrats Thornydale Men's Basketball!
